Bulmedia Group was part of the official delegation of Hongqiao International Business Media & Think Tank Forum in Shanghai along with more than 600 medias from 70 countries. The opening speech was delivered by Huang Kunming, the Member of the Political Bureau, Secretary of the Secretariat and Minister of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, as well as former Prime Minister of France, Dominique de Villepin, Poland’s former Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Gheorghe Kolodko, and other Heads of State.

Directors, Chief editors and owners of leading global media and technology companies such as Google, Fortune, China Media Group, Russia Today, The Copenhagen Post, Facebook and others took park in different panel discussions on current media issues and topics.

At the forum Bulgaria was presented by one of Bulmedia Group’s owners, Zheng Zhong, at the invitation of Economic Daily – the largest economic daily newspaper in China. The media is one of the most read and influential newspapers on economic and financial iss­­­­ues from the country and the world. Zheng Zhong is also Special Advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria on “One Belt, One Road” and “16+1” initiatives, Owner of Terraland Group and Chairman of the Council on Economic and Diplomatic Relations.

The delegation visited the headquarters of Economics Daily, JD.com and the Beijing Technology Park, where the hosts introduced guests to their activities, development and partners.

On the last day of his visit, Zheng Zhong met with the Bulgarian delegation at the China International Import Expo led by Bulgarian Economy Minister Emil Karanikolov, Bulgaria’s Ambassador in Beijing, Grigor Porozhanov, and Antoaneta Bares, Executive Director of the National Company Industrial Zones in Bulgaria.
